Mackay Mills:

The three Mackay mills crushed a to­tal of 222,846 tonnes for week end­ing 20 Au­gust 2017. The only sig­nif­i­cant stop for the week was recorded at Far­leigh Mill with re­pairs to both No2 mill scraper plate and the pri­mary juice tank. Mar­ian Mill con­ducted a suc­cess­ful main­te­nance day with all jobs com­pleted as sched­uled. The to­tal cane crushed for the sea­son is 2,076,417 or 39.93% with an av­er­age PRS at 12.27.

Moss­man mill plant avail­abil­ity and through­put were above bud­get for Week 11. The fac­tory pro­cessed 46,146 tonnes of cane at an av­er­age crush­ing rate of 319 t/hr. The ma­jor is­sues for the week oc­curred around the pan stage with nu­mer­ous stops for high stock lev­els as the pan sta­tion strug­gled to main­tain seed pro­duc­tion and turn­around times. Other down time for the week was for the in­ter­car­rier chain idler shaft break­ing, shred­der tip in­spec­tion and repair, and failed boiler tube re­pairs late in the week. The CCS con­tin­ues to be on bud­get.
