AGFORCE is encouraging all Queenslanders to show their support for farmers and join in the celebrations for National AgDay on Tuesday, November 21.

AgForce general president Grant Maudsley said agriculture was a cornerstone of the Queensland economy and a vital contributor to society, underpinning tens of thousands of jobs in regional communities and thousands more in our cities.

“National AgDay provides an opportunity for all Queenslanders to celebrate and be proud about our contribution to feeding and clothing the world,” he said.

“The recent Agricultural Census revealed Queensland is now the most valuable agricultural state in the country, producing almost a quarter of Australia’s food and fibre.” Visit www.agday.org.au .
