Spruce up life and home with visit to expo

THE 24th an­nual Mo­ran­bah Ro­tary Home & Leisure Expo is on this week­end at the Mo­ran­bah Com­mu­nity Cen­tre and the Ted Rolfe Oval.

The event will start to­day with Sara Storer and lo­cals in­clud­ing Casey Marie in con­cert on the Ted Rolfe Oval from 5pm. En­try fee is $10 for adults, kids free.

On Satur­day doors will open at 10am with 35 ex­hibitors dis­play­ing their prod­ucts and ser­vices. A movie on the Ted Rolfe Oval starts at 7pm.

On Sun­day lo­cal sport­ing or­gan­i­sa­tions the Min­ers Leagues Club, the Mo­ran­bah Golf Club and the Mo­ran­bah Sport­ing and Boxing Club will pro­mote their sports and ac­tiv­i­ties.

The Mo­ran­bah Skatepark will come alive with a Skate­board and Scooter Com­pe­ti­tion with Clin­ten Dav­i­son at 10am Sun­day with reg­is­tra­tions at 9.30am. En­try fee $5.

A com­mu­nity art project, “Up­lift­ing Wings”, will be on dis­play along with art projects from the Mo­ran­bah East and Mo­ran­bah State pri­mary schools to pro­mote Do­mes­tic Vi­o­lence Aware­ness month with “Healthy Re­la­tion­ships” be­ing the theme.

Mo­ran­bah Belly Dancers will per­form at 11am and the lo­cal dance stu­dio at 2pm Satur­day and the Mo­ran­bah East State School Choir 10.30am Sun­day. The Mo­ran­bah Ju­nior Drama will per­form rov­ing en­ter­tain­ment through­out the day.
