AUSTRALIAN models Aleyna FitzGerald and Catherine McNeil proved plastic can be fantastic at Chanel’s grand fashion show in Paris yesterday.

The legendary French label closed the fashion festival and sent its A-list models – which also included Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber – down the rainforest-themed runway wearing plastic bucket hats and plastic cap-toed PVC boots.

While the show was another massive feather in the bow for the Australia’s Next Top Model winner, some other models didn’t fair as well.

New Zealand model Stella Maxwell, who has also modelled for Victoria’s Secret, struggled to keep her designer hat on top of her head.
