Ag doco is a hit

A FIVE-MINUTE doc­u­men­tary fea­tur­ing the many and var­ied nat­u­ral and in­no­va­tive won­ders of the Cen­tral High­lands – from grapes to mung beans, cat­tle and ro­bot­ics – has re­ceived nearly 30,000 views on so­cial me­dia in the past month.

The short film, Cen­tral High­lands Agri­cul­ture – more than you ex­pect!, launched at the end of Au­gust, has at­tracted wide­spread at­ten­tion on Face­book and YouTube, and has been shared nearly 12,000 times.

Cen­tral High­lands Devel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion gen­eral man­ager San­dra Hobbs said it showed the stan­dard of pro­duce de­liv­ered by the re­gion.

“We can see that what we’re do­ing in this area is ac­tu­ally build­ing the re­sources to pro­mote the op­por­tu­ni­ties, and we have de­vel­op­ers and in­vestors com­ing on that jour­ney with us.”

Ms Hobbs said the Cen­tral High­lands had “mas­sive po­ten­tial” across all in­dus­try sec­tors, in­clud­ing in­no­va­tion, nat­u­ral as­sets and em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties.
