Activities galore this term
Whole community gets in on fun with staff, students
OUR book week celebration was a huge success, with many children and staff participating in the dress up portion of the day.
We had a boy and girl winner from each year level, who received a gift voucher, kindly donated by our local newsagency.
We followed by celebrating as a whole school, where we sat and ate foods from different countries together.
Each classroom had to decorate their door, for the theme ‘Escape To Anywhere’.
A big congratulations to the Year 1/2 class, who won the prize for best door and celebrated with a pizza party.
It was a fabulous morning as a school community, with many parents, grandparents and community members there to support our school.
ON WEDNESDAY, August 23, we were lucky to have Kira Nuss from the Emerald Library come out to work with students.
Students were able to learn about and use a range of different devices, which ranged from Beebots to Spheros to Ozobots and many in-between.
Students spent around half–an–hour in their class groups using these devices, some enjoyed it so much that they spent their lunch times helping Kira and having a extra minutes of fun.
We would like to thank Kira for her time and effort. Students all had a fantastic day using the devices and learning about how they are used.
Under 8’s day
CHILDREN aged eight and younger were able to wander about the great attractions at Under 8’s day.
Special thanks to The Capella Polocrosse club for bringing in their wooden practise horses, Mr Finall for bringing in his police car, the firemen for the firetruck and all the other school activities run by teachers.
The kid’s passports were great fun, getting stamped after looking at each one. The grade 6s were awesome, helping each teacher with their activities.
