Instrumental music

CONGRATULATIONS to our Instrumental Music students who travelled to Mackay to perform in the Mackay Eisteddfod.

Both our Junior and Senior Bands represented our school well.

State titles in track and field

WE HAVE had two of our students recently compete at the state titles for track and field.

Tobias Cotter represented our region in long jump, 100m sprint and in the 10 year 4x100m relay.

Max Hoffmann was selected for the tetrathlon (100m sprint, long jump, shot put, 800m) and he also competed in the 11year boy 100m relay.

Deadly choices

CONGRATULATIONS to our students who participated in the Deadly Choices Program.

Deadly Choices aims to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to make healthy choices for themselves and their families – to stop smoking, to eat good food and exercise daily.

Variety Bash

THE Variety Bash stopped in at MESS early in September.

Variety – the Children’s Charity – helps children and their families with financial support for things like wheelchairs, specialist equipment, therapy, and medical supplies, when they can’t afford it, and when government assistance isn’t available.

Deadly Choices program participants.
