Sunday was a single stroke for the men’s sponsored by Kerry Moreland. The winner was Troy Lonsdale with a very fine 66 net from Butch Hutton on 69, Kerry Munster on 69, Rod Callow 72 and Rick Garrett 73. Pin shots No.2/16, No.8 and No.13 went to T. The Wowan Men’s Open is on next Sunday. There is a large social group playing at Biloela on Sunday and all the hire buggies are booked.

Last week there were nine players for a stableford and the winner was Brett Maller on 36 points, runner-up went to Syd Dunne on 35 points. The pin shots were No.2/11 A. Hayden, No.6/15 A. Hayden and No.7/16 L. Luhrs.
Thursday Club last week there were six players and the winner was Gary James on 22 points. Rundown went to Syd Dunne on 21. Pin shots were No.11 J. Carmont, No.13 J. Carmont and the membership was not won. Until next time, good golfing.
On Sunday we played a single stableford event over 14 holes for BAMC trophy. The winner this week was Joe Mazzacuva with a round scoring 29 points, runner-up was Ian Kirk on 28 points, and the rundown went to Mick Szelag and Don Balnaves both on 27 points. The encouragement award this week went to Wayne Heid with 24 points.

Thanks to the small band at Wowan who put on a good ladies’ open on Saturday and who braved the temperature and the course.
This Wednesday we will play our monthly medal and Sunday will be an eclectic.

Still a good turnout at the 8am game, despite the weather. Three new players, Bill, Rhyll and Elaine, are settling well into the game and are welcome participants each week.
