Cricket carnival Saturday, March 11
THE Moura High School P&C is hosting a cracker cricket carnival, starting at 9am at the soccer fields, Moura Recreation Grounds. Bar and canteen operating all day. Prizes for the best dressed team. Teams of eight must be male and female and children under 12 are worth extra points.
Showgirl lunch Tuesday, March 14
TICKETS go on sale for the annual Taroom Miss Showgirl Luncheon. Tickets are $45, which includes admission and a two-course lunch, and they can be purchased from the Taroom Pharmacy. The luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 8.
Biloela Colour Run Friday, March 31
GET your tickets to this great fundraising event. The tickets are on sale now and will finish on Friday, March 31 at 12pm. You must get your ticket before this date to be able to enter. This event is in aid of the Biloela Panthers Junior Rugby League Under-11s going to Townsville. Support the kids!
Fishing comp Saturday, April 1
THE Moura Muddy Water Classic Family Fishing Competition is on at the Dawson River Apex Park, Moura. Take part in junior, senior men’s and ladies categories. There will be cash and prizes to be won, lucky draws, raffles bar and canteen.
Cattle handling Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23
GYRANDA Station is offering courses for practical cattle handling. It is a two-day program that can leave you wanting to do stock work, seeing the economic benefits and the ease in which stock handling can be achieved.
