HISTORY OF CLAY TARGET SHOOTING
The sport is believed to have been introduced to Australia in 1924.
It is the act of shooting flying clay targets with a shotgun, taking time, skill and hand-eye coordination to shoot right. There are now more than 300 clubs across Australia with the Australian Clay Target Association.
The local Callide Dawson Club is located on the Jambin Dakenba road, past the meatworks.
