Coal and Country
Tonight and tomorrow (Saturday August 26) FESTIVAL opens at 5pm today. Bulls and Barrels at 7.30pm. Barbecue breakfast at 6.30am on Saturday with sideshow alley open at 10am. There will be an animal nursery, train rides, face painting, food vendors, market stalls, fireworks, wood chopping, the Crack Up Sisters and more.
Tonight (Friday, August 25)
THE Anglican Parish Fete will be held at St Gabriel’s, cnr Melton and Kariboe Street this afternoon from 5pm. There will be lots of on offer, including kids’ activities, market stalls, yummy food and ham wheel. Bring to your family and friends.
Tomorrow (Saturday August 26)
IRON and Fire open day at Kilburnie Homestead. Blacksmithing, silversmith, billy-tea and damper, whip cracking, kids activities, buggy rides, art and fashion exhibit and homestead tours. Open 10am4pn, 531 Argoon Kilburnie Rd, Callide. Entry fees apply.
Tuesday August 29
COMMUNITY Bingo at 9.30am at Wahroonga Aged Care. Wahroonga have taken over Goovigen Community Bingo. This will be their second Bingo event. The public community, family, friends and social groups are welcome.
GREAT Baralaba Saratoga Classic. Family fun, live entertainment, festival fare, market stalls. Weigh-in strictly noon each day. Camping available at Neville Hewitt Weir but first in best dressed.
