WELL, another change in the weather.

Certainly it was nice to have the warmer days and it is ideal to do things that previously were too cold to do.

It would be good to welcome some overdue rain to really wet everything, also to help the grass grow, especially as we are coming into summer.

Fashion parade

COMING up on Saturday, September 9 is the Jambin QCWA Springtime Fashion Parade.

All are welcome in the Jambin Community Hall, beginning with morning tea at 9.30am with a cost of $5 and a monster cent sale.

School news

Congratulations to the years 3 and 5 students for their efforts in NAPLAN this year.

Once again principal Kerry would like to say that their amazing results are a reflection on the entire school community.

Garden lovers

A big thanks to Eileen Surtees for making her garden available last month. Next garden is at Clista Schmidt’s home at 67 Thalberg Av.

There will be plants for sale on the day.

Names are also needed for our Christmas Breakup at the Bowls Club. Cooks are Jean Dobbs, Betty Piahana, Cheryl Henny and Lyn Swift.

See you all there.
