Get ready to celebrate 100 years
HAPPY birthday to Ross Maclean on turning 60. Ross spent his birthday with family at the beach just relaxing.
Many cheers to our local pilot–come–grazier, not to mention grand–dad of six.
Baralaba School Centenary
THE meeting to discuss the 100th anniversary of our school was held last week. The date for the big event is October 13-14, 2018. So mark your calendars and start rounding up your classmates from years gone by.
I will keep you posted with updates, also the school’s website will have information about this event.
Saratoga fishing classic
THIS year saw fishing numbers down (182 in total) but good fish totals caught. President Rob Price was happy with the support and fish could be seen in the clearer water upstream. Again, the Baralaba P&C ran the food very capably over the weekend while Mark McLellan ran the bar as per usual. Robyn Gill ran the cent sale and was well supported.
Just Us played great live music with dancing popular, good on you Tim and Deb. Superb weather, plenty of water and good company saw the weekend come off without a hitch. Thank you to all the donors, helpers and supporters to make the weekend a success. All funds raised go to restocking fingerlings in the Dawson River.
