New tech­nol­ogy a lift for kinder­garten

MOURA Com­mu­nity Kinder­garten stu­dents have taken a step into the fu­ture with the ad­di­tion of a new Smart Board, thanks to a grant from An­glo Amer­i­can.

Di­rec­tor Re­becca Byrne said the Smart Board was be­ing used in nu­mer­ous ways by con­nect­ing to on­line books, songs, ex­plor­ing the world and re­search­ing their own in­ter­ests.

The chil­dren have also en­joyed view­ing pho­tos in slideshows and videos of them­selves.

The grant also helped fund ac­com­mo­da­tion and meals for Green­scape em­ploy­ees when they vis­ited Moura to trans­form the play­ground and landscaping at the kindy.
