Big scale tree planting keeps Biloela Scouts busy
TREE planting was the name of the game on the weekend for the Biloela Scouts.
The local scout group was revived last year and quickly grew in numbers.
During the day the young scouts and leaders joined with businesses in the community to plant 104 native trees at their camp grounds.
The trees and planting equipment were donated by new Callide Valley Toyota owners, Wayne and Hilary Harth.
Farmstuff also donated an electric fence igniter to protect the newly planted trees and the Banana Shire Council provided mulch to keep the trees moist while they get established.
The day finished with a camp sing-a-long and and skits.
