BRYCE Leslie Hodgson fronted Biloela Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 29 on one charge of possessing a dangerous drug.

On March 20 this year police executed a search warrant on a Moura address.

The defendant was not present but his wife was. Police found 22 grams of cannabis in a bedroom along with 3g of loose cannabis in a clip-seal bag. Hodgson’s wife admitted to police the cannabis was hers.

Police then found hydroponic growing gear in the back yard of the house along with an egg carton full of cannabis seeds.

Clip-seal bags with bar codes and names of cannabis on them were also found in the back yard.

On August 14 the defendant was finally found and taken in for questioning about the matter by police.

He said the hydroponic gear was meant for growing vegetables not cannabis.

Hodgson pleaded guilty to the one charge before Magistrate Beckinsale and was fined $750 with a conviction recorded.
