YOVANKA Tomich appeared before the Biloela Magistrates Court on Wednesday, August 29 on two charges.

The 32-year-old woman pleaded guilty before Magistrate Beckinsale on one charge of utensils or pipes that had been used and one charge of contravening a direction or requirement from police.

On August 6 Tomich was given a notice to provide Biloela Police with her particulars within seven days of the order.

When she failed to do so, police went to her address where they found Tomich and her partner in the laundry of the house with a water pipe and clip seal bags. Police advised there was still smoke in the air when they arrived and Tomich admitted to smoking cannabis. Magistrate Beckinsale recorded Tomich’s two convictions and she was fined $150 for contravening a direction.

She was fined a further $350 and ordered to forfeit her utensils.
