River fes­ti­val

ONLY a few weeks away, the Theodore River Fes­ti­val is a fun-filled fam­ily event that runs ac­tiv­i­ties over four days.

The main day is Satur­day, Septem­ber 29.

Last year was the first year back and they had a great turn out.

So they have their think­ing hats on, plan­ning an­other great event.

The River Fes­ti­val is set on the beau­ti­ful Daw­son River which is right on Theodore’s doorstep.

As part of the River Fes­ti­val again this year, Eat Street will fea­ture a range of tastes from around the world.

Grab a sam­ple for $5 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on the Satur­day.

On of­fer will be tastes from Canada, Den­mark, Bangladesh, Eng­land, Aus­tralia, New Zealand, Mex­ico, Swe­den, South Africa and Abo­rig­i­nal foods.

NEXT Thurs­day, Septem­ber 20 at 4pm the Theodore Ho­tel is host­ing farewell drinks and nib­blies for two well-known lo­cals.

Asad and Daisy Za­man ar­rived about five years ago from Bangladesh to work at the ho­tel.


LUCY Fowkes from the Newsagency and Theodore Ho­tel and a reg­u­lar vis­i­tor back to Theodore re­cently be­came en­gaged to Ben Heinze.

Lucy met Ben when she lived in Dar­win for a short time. Ben is a me­chanic with the Airforce at Am­ber­ley Airforce base.
