Festival flows with family fun
ONLY a few weeks away, the Theodore River Festival is a fun-filled family event that runs activities over four days.
The main day is Saturday, September 29.
Last year was the first year back and they had a great turn out.
So they have their thinking hats on, planning another great event.
The River Festival is set on the beautiful Dawson River which is right on Theodore’s doorstep.
As part of the River Festival again this year, Eat Street will feature a range of tastes from around the world.
Grab a sample for $5 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on the Saturday.
On offer will be tastes from Canada, Denmark, Bangladesh, England, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Sweden, South Africa and Aboriginal foods.

NEXT Thursday, September 20 at 4pm the Theodore Hotel is hosting farewell drinks and nibblies for two well-known locals.
Asad and Daisy Zaman arrived about five years ago from Bangladesh to work at the hotel.
LUCY Fowkes from the Newsagency and Theodore Hotel and a regular visitor back to Theodore recently became engaged to Ben Heinze.
Lucy met Ben when she lived in Darwin for a short time. Ben is a mechanic with the Airforce at Amberley Airforce base.
