■ Your in­for­ma­tion is avail­able in one place and eas­ily ac­ces­si­ble by your doc­tors, spe­cial­ists or hos­pi­tals.

■ Be­cause health­care providers have bet­ter ac­cess to clin­i­cal in­for­ma­tion, they have a more de­tailed pic­ture to make de­ci­sions, di­ag­nose and pro­vide treat­ment.

■ In emer­gency sit­u­a­tions, treat­ing doc­tors will be able to use My Health Record to pro­vide treat­ment quickly.

■ Your health in­for­ma­tion can be viewed se­curely on­line, from any­where, at any time – even if you move or travel in­ter­state. ■ You can man­age pri­vacy and con­trol ac­cess to your record, in­clud­ing what gets up­loaded and who has ac­cess.

■ My Health Record has multi-lay­ered and strong safe­guards in place to pro­tect your in­for­ma­tion.
