AFENDS

2/6 Lawson St, Byron Bay

Cafe and HQ at Brayshore Drive, Byron Industrial Estate

Does it get more Byron than organic hemp fashion? Once you slip on one of this streetwear label’s ridiculously soft tees you’ll be hooked. The cotton and hemp blend “wears in, not out”, so it only gets comfier. Declan Wise and Jono Salfield founded the brand in 2006 off the back of a small screen printing business. They sell casual pieces with a retro vibe and you’ll end up living in them.

SPELL & THE GYPSY COLLECTIVE

15 Browning St, Byron Bay

Founders Elizabeth Abegg and Isabella Pennefather (Spelly) watched as the label blossomed from market stall to staggeringly successful sister act. Now there are almost one million followers watching the brand’s every move on Instagram alone. Behind 200year-old Moroccan doors, the Byron boutique captures Spell’s essence.

AUGUSTE THE LABEL

Shop 7 / 15-19 Fletcher St, Byron Bay Founder Ebony Eagles’ bohemian dream focuses on floaty, figure-flattering wrap dresses in feminine florals (pictured). The label also has a Little Auguste range for kids.
