Rents not so scary

Chinchilla News - - NEWS - By EMMA HERON

WHEN I arrived in Chinchilla last July the petrifying rental prices had me thinking I’d be living off baked beans and toast.

Desperate for a place to call home, my partner and I snapped up one of the first houses we were shown. Even though it was far from perfect, we could afford it and it was available immediately.

Fast forward to a month ago and we were spoilt for choice when looking for a new place to rent with our +1 due in September.

I had a list of everything I wanted from our new home – from a nursery space to fly screens (we didn’t have those in the first place ... never again).

Not only did I get everything I wanted but it was at a price that was affordable and fair.

If you’re in the market for some bigger digs or just looking for a home that better suits your family, now is the time to make the move.

There are more than 200 places available for rent in Chinchilla so there’s bound to be something that is perfect.

Alternatively, if you’ve already found your palace, now is the time to make sure it has the price tag to match.
