IT was a great day to be on a bike as the Brigalow Recreation Grounds saw motocross riders careen around the track at break-neck speed.

The Chinchilla Motocross Club enjoyed the chance to put their talent against the best in the region, with local names dominating.

The day ran smoothly despite a shoulder injury and a few stacks in the later races.

There were visitors from Roma and Toowoomba among the riders on the day, looking to earn themselves a trophy and improve their ranking.

Though most of the bikes on the track ranged $7000–$12,000 each, it cost the riders less than $15 in fuel on the day, making motocross a great long-term investment.
