Grand gala day at Noonga tennis courts
ANYONE who has travelled along the Jackson-Wandoan Rd recently would have noticed the great development of the Noonga tennis courts.
A grand gala opening ceremony will take place on Saturday.
From 8am, everyone will have the opportunity to try out the new courts by participating in an American Tournament, and much more is planned throughout the day.
There are market stalls, children’s rides and entertainment, historical display plus a bar and canteen operating all day, barbecue lunch and pig on the spit dinner and entertainment until late.
In addition, a special Branding Noonga event will be held where you are invited to bring your brands along and make your mark at Noonga.
Gate entry is $5 per person or $20 per family and this includes your tennis nomination.
At 4pm, the official guests will cut the ribbon and declare the courts open, thus acknowledging the support of the Department of Sport and Recreation, Maranoa Regional Council and the Surat Basin Industrial Sands and Resources and many others who have assisted in the courts’ refurbishment.
