Lions’ White elephant auction pips $5000

Chinchilla News - - LIFE OUR COMMUNITY -

OUR jumping castle continues to be in high demand and, is no doubt, a very handy child care assistant at birthday parties and family celebrations.

All funds raised through hire are kept available for distribution to local organisations so you know your money is being recirculated wisely.

You can also rest easy in knowing that when we hire our jumping castle out, it is always set up with plenty of anchor points for water weights and/or hold down steel pins.

The reason for this is simply that we do not want to see our jumping castle blown away as a result of a sudden wind gust.

We know other providers out there may not exercise the same safety first measures, with incidents of the equipment moving, with catastrophic results.

To hire our jumping castle. please phone Lion Doug on 4662 7598.

Also available for hire are our cold room and catering van. To hire our cold room, phone Tony on 4662 7196 and for the catering van, phone Lindsay on 0427 656 201. Our catering van is available at little or no cost to other like minded local organisations.

Thanks to a dialogue and good effort from our local council workers, we are pleased to see some seating has been replaced in Lions Park. Hopefully, new shade covers, tables and more seating will soon follow.

A final word on our recent White Elephant Auction. With a few sales made post Auction Day, we grossed in excess of $5000.

Thanks a million to all our donors and supporters for your help. Except for advertising, all proceeds will be used to provide help and assistance to projects of Lions and local organisations.

‘Til next week take care, stay safe and a thought for the week – “he who laughs, lasts”.
