Tireless Tammy raises the bar

AMONG the key players behind pulling this year’s Chinchilla Show together was one in particular Chinchilla Show Society president Greg Stanke wanted to pay special tribute to.

“The showgirl was absolutely magic as far as organising behind the scenes, during the show and at the show,” Mr Stanke said.

The 2016 Chinchilla Showgirl Tammy Pukallus went above and beyond her duties and responsibilities, according to the president.

Since receiving the showgirl title in March at the official show ball ceremony, Tammy had worked hard to promote the show through social media, run competitions and assist in the recruitment of volunteers and competitors.

During the show itself, Tammy once again didn’t shirk away from taking on her share of the load and then some, adding to her ribbon presentation duties with recording and tallying scores for events, working the rodeo bar on the Saturday night and even competing in the Farmers’ Challenge – which her team won.

Tammy will compete at the South-West finals on June 25.
