Touring film festival
FILL up your popcorn and get comfortable at Chinchilla Cultural Centre or Miles’ Leichhardt Hall this weekend for the Queensland Touring Film Festival.
A part of In The Bin Film Festival, the touring film festival is Australia’s largest and oldest touring short film programs.
A free family event (all movies are rated PG), this year’s festival will bring 10 of the best short films from around the world to Miles’ big screen from 6pm Friday night and Chinchilla from 6pm Saturday.
DRESS to impress and head out of town for the 2017 Annual Warra Races this Saturday.
It’s set to be a day out for the whole family with kids barrel horse novelty races, fashions on the field and a licensed bar.
Gates open at 11am and cost of entry is $10.
SPEND an evening under the stars when the Townsville Astronomy Group and Full Throttle Theatre in conjunction with WDRC brings their production, Astronomical, to Chinchilla tonight.
Meet Galileo, Einstein and Neil Armstrong as they lead you though the history of astronomy.
The comedic journey delivers belly laughs as it explores the universe and the audience explore by looking at astronomical wonders through large computer controlled telescopes.
The event is free and will be held at Clover Hill Ranch from 6.30pm.

LADIES dust off your party dress because the annual Condamine Cods Ladies Day is back for 2017.
Cheer on the Cods as they take on the Goondiwindi Emus.
