Christmas comes early to Lapunyah
DO YOU suffer from OCD, better known as Obsessive Christmas Disorder?
Then Lapunyah Art Gallery’s latest exhibition, Christmas in July, is the place for you.
Chinchilla Patches and Piecemakers have returned with their unique spin on Christmas.
Lots of colour, shiny Christmas lights, warm and cuddly quilts, and merchandise galore for the enthusiastic collector of Christmas memorabilia.
At their recent opening, guests were treated to a warm winter lunch of soup and savouries, with delicious Christmas sweets following.
Santa also arrived and gave out special gifts and candy-canes for all the good little visitors to the gallery.
The Patches and Piecemakers were formed 24 years ago by life member, and previous group leader, Glenys Gaske.
Several original members are still with the group and participate in regular in-house workshops, tutor-run workshops, retreats and road tours.
Anyone interested in joining the Patches and Piecemakers, in forming great friendships, and being creative in a supportive environment can phone Terri-Ann on 0411 096 424.
Christmas In July will run from June 19 to July 19 at Lapunayh Art Gallery, Chinchilla. During the exhibition every visitor will also receive a gift from Santa’s basket.
