Lions’ changeover season is nearing its conclusion
IT HAS been a very busy few weeks for our Lions club members attending the changeover dinners of all the other Lions clubs in our zone, including changeovers at Jandowae, Cecil Plains, Dalby and the Tara Lionesses.
In the coming weeks, we’ll also be visiting Taroom (July 15) and Wandoan (July 27).
The good news was that at almost every changeover, new members were inducted into Lionism, which augurs well for our membership in the future.
Club welcoming new members
Speaking of new members, our Chinchilla club is preparing to welcome a number of new members to our next meeting.
If you would like to learn more about Lions and serve your community by joining the world’s largest service club organisation, we’d welcome your inquiry.
Just give Lion Doug a call on 4662 7598 or Lion Lindsay on 0427 656 201.
Mobility aids available free
Our club has a number of wheelchairs available for short- or long-term use by those with temporary or long-term disability.
Just give Lion Lindsay a call on 0427 656 201.
We have several wheely walkers also available.
There is no charge to use any of these mobility devices.
It’s just another way Lions serve our community with pride.
Till next week, take care, stay safe and here’s hoping our farmers soon get a much-needed reprieve with some winter rain.
Remember, where there is a need, there is a Lion, just as there has been for 100 years.
