Trailblazing Australian honoured in exhibition
THE works, passions and legacy of famed Australian writer, poet and activist Judith Wright are being celebrated in a unique and thought-provoking exhibition at the John Mullins Memorial Art Gallery at Dogwood Crossing, Miles.
Artist Fiona Rafferty said that she was inspired to create a body of work to commemorate Judith Wright when she spent five months living at Calanthe, Judith Wright’s former home on Tamborine Mountain.
The exhibition is open until September 19.
REFLECTING: Anne Keam, Frances Smith, Kerry Turnbull, Fiona Rafferty and Maya Carter-Malins at the exhibition.
