Midsomer Murders wraps up its 19th season tonight. Far from looking tired or worn out after the eye-wateringly large number of murders in the picturesque little town, the British crime drama is as engrossing (and beautiful to look at) as ever. In “The Curse of the Ninth”, the winner of a music award is found dead, with his priceless violin stolen. Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) and Winter’s (Nick Hendrix) investigations lead them deep into a world haunted by a potentially deadly curse. It’s a solid episode, with a handful of suspects and motives to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
