Cemetery in sad state

Chinchilla News - - NEWS OPINION -

ON A RECENT visit to Chinchilla Lawn Cemetery to pay our respects to departed loved ones, we were quite upset to see the state of the cemetery.

There is clover everywhere with the prickles on it, holes in the ground that make it very hard to walk.

In fact my 91-year-old mother-in-law actually fell over trying to walk around to look for friends’ and relatives’ graves. I nearly fell over myself trying to help my mother-in-law.

There are animal droppings everywhere too. The whole place looked messy. We have never seen it look that bad.

We were very disappointed at the state of the place.

I hope that this letter will encourage the council to clean it up and fill in the holes, and level the ground out, so no one else falls over out there. — Concerned citizen
