An­nual Bri­ga­low ball

THE Bri­ga­low Pub­lic Hall Com­mit­tee for­mally in­vites you to the an­nual li­cenced ball.

They will serve a sump­tu­ous sup­per and spe­cially brewed cof­fee for at­ten­dees. There will also be raf­fles and prizes through­out the night.

All pro­ceeds from the event will be donated to the Chinchilla Can­cer Coun­cil. Ad­mis­sion is $12 for adults, $8 for school stu­dents, with free en­trance for chil­dren un­der 12 years of age.

Day out with Dad

EN­JOY a fun filled day out with dad this Satur­day, with lots of ac­tiv­i­ties for the whole fam­ily. There will be a free bar­be­cue lunch, $5 clay shoot­ing for 11- to 15-year olds, team planks races, craft and rope ac­tiv­i­ties and much more. The lo­cal fireys will also be join­ing for a spe­cial visit.

MX Se­ries

MAKE your way to Bri­ga­low this week­end for a two-day mo­tocross ex­trav­a­ganza. Some of the best riders from Queens­land and be­yond will be com­ing to take part in the MX com­pe­ti­tion.

This week­end’s event is the third round for ju­nior and se­nior star riders. Around 400 riders will come out for what is set to be the big­gest mo­tocross event in Queens­land. Tick­ets are avail­able at the event. WHEN: Satur­day and Sun­day, March 24-25.

WHERE: Bri­ga­low Recre­ation Grounds.

Wan­doan Chal­lenge

NOW in it’s sec­ond year, the photo chal­lenge is run in con­junc­tion with the Wan­doan Show So­ci­ety as a way to high­light the re­gion.

There are two cat­e­gories you can en­ter, peo­ple and places, with $300 worth of prizes up for grabs.

The com­pe­ti­tion is open to any­body with a spe­cial cat­e­gory for lo­cals aged 15 to 25, and chil­dren up to Year 10.

To be el­i­gi­ble, your photo must be taken within 50km of the Wan­doan dis­trict and taken af­ter March 31, 2017.

Sub­mis­sions are open un­til Wed­nes­day, April 4.
