Chef goes back to his roots

THIS series tracks chef Luke Nguyen’s life and career from when it all started in Sydney, moving to Queensland, Saigon and then on to Hong Kong.
Throughout the series Luke (pictured) is joined by close friends, local chefs and, of course, his family who play such a large part in this life. Along the way he visits fish markets and food producers, cooking some delicious Vietnamese dishes.
This week, Luke completes his visit to Brisbane and heads to Saigon where he spends time with his family.
He visits his mum and aunty in the Hoc Mon district of Ho Chi Minh City before cooking a traditional feast to present as an offering to his grandfather’s grave, a significant day with his immediate family.
