Inoperative front indicators are usually caused by corrosion in the housings affecting the earth. Only the flasher units are fused, so check the wiring for signs of damage. Fuel and temperature gauges for later cars can be troublesome. Replacing faulty indicator stalks can be more expensive than imagined, a secondhand stalk costing circa £50.
