Classic Ford - - CF BUYER -

Tired springs and dampers are easily and cheaply replaced. Void bushes on the rear trailing arms fail regularly — sure signs they’re worn are a loose rear end and being able to easily rock the back of the Cortina from side to side. Watch for polyurethane replacements though, as while they last they make the ride very harsh. Tie-rod bushes are also prone to wear, a clunking under braking being a sign that they need replacing.
