NON START MANTA

Classics Monthly - - Rotary Engines -

Q: My 1986 Manta 2.0i has an increasingly common non-start problem. It happened at home once and I was able to establish that the fuel pump was working and there was a spark – but no go.

A: That will be the seven pin fuel pump relay - a tall black relay near the fuse box. This controls the pump and the injectors, and the injector bit can fail. Fit a new one anyway, but that should fix it.
