Say hello to kids initiative

Cockburn Gazette - - LOCAL SPORTS STARS -

A “COLLECTIVE impact initiative” developed to benefit children will be officially launched for Cockburn residents at the City’s Hello Baby event on Wednesday.

Connecting Community for Kids spokeswoman Kylie Tanner said the event, held annually for parents and babies in Cockburn, was a platform to share what the group offers.

“Our aim is to involve local residents in the big decisions, with community feedback driving our initiative,” she said.

“Opinions, concerns and ideas presented at our decision making groups inform the co-design of our planned actions that will involve community, service providers and the State Government.”

Ms Tanner said Connecting Community for Kids would have an information marquee to take parents through its journey so far.

“We hope to share our story with the community and strengthen our collaboration with parents of young children,” she said.

“It is children, parents, carers and service providers working with families that are at the heart of this initiative and Hello Baby provides an outlet for us to celebrate the work we have been doing.”
