BURGLED? HERE’S WHAT NOT TO DO

Cockburn Gazette - - STREETWATCH -

IF you have had a burglar in the house, call the police immediately. Preserve the crime scene. Do not wipe down any surface. Do not touch any item touched or left behind by the offender. Write down immediately a description of the burglar. Carefully observe and get a description of any vehicle that was used. Take note of the registration, type, colour and any other features. However, do not discuss the incident with any other person until police officers arrive, as this could create problems in any subsequent investigation. – Sergeant Warren Ameduri
