THE Atwell Gallery will host the Al­fred Cove Art So­ci­ety An­nual Awards Ex­hi­bi­tion from to­day.

The range of works on dis­play in­cludes two from Suc­cess res­i­dent Beryl Had­low, who started dab­bling in oil paint­ing 36 years ago.

She has since di­ver­si­fied into pen and wash, pas­tel and wa­ter­colours.

Her en­tries to the ex­hi­bi­tion in­clude a small oil paint­ing of ap­ple blos­som, ti­tled Ruby Red, and a larger work of Aus­tralian wat­tle.

Her works of­ten fea­ture Aus­tralian land­scapes, seascapes and WA wild­flow­ers, plus flow­ers

COCK­BURN from her own gar­den.

She was awarded life mem­ber­ship of the so­ci­ety in 2007.

The gallery is on the cor­ner of North Lake Road and Can­ning High­way.
