Spoon looms for Sharks
EAST Fremantle have slipped back into the wooden spoon position after a disappointing 13-point loss to Peel Thunder.
The Sharks were in the box seat at three-quarter time, having kept their opponents to just three goals to lead 53-22, but a dismal fourth quarter both in attack and defence saw the Sharks kick just two behinds to the Thunder’s 7.4.
East Fremantle eventually went down 68-55.
Thomas Bennett and Jamie McNamara kicked two goals each, while
RUGBY UNION SUPPORTED BY LUX MOTORS Cameron Eardley led the disposals with 29. Compounding the result was Perth’s win over East Perth, which allowed them to leapfrog East Fremantle into eighth and slide the Sharks back on to the bottom of the ladder with just one game to go. South Fremantle had the bye. They play Peel Thunder at Rushton Park and East Fremantle play Swan Districts at Bassendean Oval on August 26 in the final round of the WAFL season.
Bounce down for both games is at 2.15pm.
