FRE­MAN­TLE po­lice con­tinue to fo­cus on tar­get­ing steal­ing from mo­tor ve­hi­cles after a spike of this type of crime. Dur­ing a po­lice op­er­a­tion, in­for­ma­tion was re­ceived from mem­bers of the com­mu­nity about a re­cent of­fence that oc­curred that in­volved mail be­ing stolen from let­ter­boxes and then linked to mul­ti­ple ve­hi­cles be­ing bro­ken in to in the Fre­man­tle area. Fre­man­tle po­lice, with the as­sis­tance of Dog Squad, were suc­cess­ful in track­ing and ar­rest­ing a 25-year-old man from Mosman Park and charged him with mul­ti­ple of­fences. These of­fences are very easy for potential crooks and po­lice re­mind the com­mu­nity to re­move all valu­ables and lock let­ter­boxes to make it tougher for crooks.
