WASTING MONEY ON BIN POLICE

Cockburn Gazette - - OPINION -

ON Tuesday, October 24 – bin day in Success – while on my morning walk, I noted the bin police looking into people's rubbish bins and placing tags on them.

Get home, tags on my bin, one smiley face, one sad. In my red bin I had put two small pieces of paper the same size as their tags because there was a little mix of unrecyclable waste – what a joke.

Is this a weekly thing? What a waste of my ratepayer’s money.

I could think of a dozen better things to spend my money on.

Clean up our bushes, parks, lakes, teach people to clean up after their dogs etc; the list goes on.

And yes – 99 per cent of the time I do the right thing. L DAVIES, Success
