Hockey player pleads guilty
FORMER Kookaburras hockey player Matthew Bird pleaded guilty to three charges of selling a prohibited drug in Fremantle Magistrates Court last week.
The Coolbellup resident was caught selling drugs in Perth on February 18 and 30 and in Bateman on May 3.
Bird did not enter a plea for another charge of possessing a weapon but will be back in Fremantle Magistrates Court on August 28.
His bail has been extended. He will appear in the Perth District Court on August 3 for sentencing.
