Swimwear for bold women
Swimming into summer.
FEMALE empowerment is the theme behind new Fremantle swimwear label Ceacea Swimwear.
Designers Caroline Cornish and Chloe Amery, originally from the UK, will launch their new label and first collection ‘The Goddess’ at a party at Hilton’s Next Wave Therapy on August 25.
According to Cornish, the duo met seven years ago through mutual friends after moving to Perth and enjoying the “Aussie” lifestyle.
“We both quickly fell in love with the Aussie outdoor lifestyle and wanted to do something typically ‘Aussie’,” she said.
“We decided that we should do our bronze medallion lifesaving course although neither of us were particularly great swimmers.
“We then took up sea swimming with some other friends and that led to us learning to surf in our 30s and forming a friendship surf group called ‘Blue Crush’.
“The reason these things are significant to the brand is because after we surprised ourselves with these achievements and personal goals, we decided we wanted to create something that would encourage other women to do the same.
“That creation was Ceacea Swimwear and the idea to launch a brand that would encourage all women to get active and get active in the ocean.”
“Ceacea Swimwear is bright and bold to encourage the customer to be a woman of impact,” she said.
“In your Ceacea, you can get out of your comfort zone and have a go.
“All of our active challenges have had one thing in common and that was to have fun in the ocean and to ‘socialise in the sea’, therefore creating a swimwear brand that encouraged other women to do the same was the obvious next step for us. “
