Beer Festival returns to Fremantle.

BEER lovers get those taste buds ready – the Fremantle Beer Festival is on again.

The three-day festival at Esplanade Park will feature products from 50 WA breweries.

Little Creatures brewer Daniel Heary said they had been involved in the festival since day one.

“It is fun and a great chance to try different beers,” he said.

“The festival has changed with more breweries opening up; everyone has got new different beers and special releases.”

Gage Roads brewer Ross Brown said WA had really led the craft brewing scene.

“This is where craft brewing really kicked off,” he said.

“It will be a great showcase of WA breweries.

“The craft beer trend fits in with a lot of the food culture.

“We are getting new styles developing and breweries are experimenting with new flavours.”

Mr Heary said Little Creatures would offer a range of beers at the festival.

“Beers on the stand will include the birthday beer as it’s Creatures’ birthday month in November,” he said.

Mr Brown said Gage Roads would offer something similar, including a special beer brewed for the event.

The festival will also include a performance from Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson.
