And Then There Were 12…

Comic Heroes - - Feature -

With Peter Capaldi poised to make his debut as the latest embodiment of the last Time Lord in August, Titan will be wasting no time, adding The Twelfth Doctor to their stable in October. Written by The Tenth Doctor’s Robbie Morrison and drawn by Dave Taylor, few details are currently available, although two of #1’s five variant covers reveal that Clara will also be making her presence felt.

“2014 is Peter Capaldi’s year, so everyone wants to give him the time and space to make the mantle his own,” says editor Andrew James. “But since everyone will fall in love with his Doctor within about 10 minutes of the first episode, I’m sure it won’t be long before other Doctors appear in our line-up!”

In fact, James reveals that Titan has plans for some other miniseries featuring several of The Doctor’s past incarnations. “The trick is finding the right talent to match each Doctor, and to make sure that we’re not overwhelming readers and retailers by releasing everything at once,” he explains. “As much as we’d love to have an ongoing monthly set in each era, we want to expand the line while still letting completest fans pick up every issue – it’s always a delicate

balancing act.”
