Lords of the ring

The next on­go­ing se­ries from Joe Keatinge and artist Nick Bar­ber is Ring­side. Set in the world of pro­fes­sional wrestling, it deals with the strug­gles both in­side and out­side the ring, but Bar­ber in­sists it will have ap­peal to ev­ery­one, not just sports fans. It’s on sale 25 Novem­ber from Im­age.

More manga

You only need to glance at the shelves of a For­bid­den Planet to see how big sales of manga are. Dark Horse has taken no­tice too. It’s stated, in an in­ter­view with An­imeNewsNet­work, that it plans to in­crease its manga out­put by 25 per­cent by 2016.

Feel­ing horns-y?

Charles Vess’s first pub­lished work, The Horns Of Elfland, is get­ting a long-over­due reis­sue this year from Archival Press. Orig­i­nally pub­lished in 1979, these tales of faeries and witches should be of par­tic­u­lar in­ter­est to fans of Star­dust, on which Vess col­lab­o­rated with Neil Gaiman.

I wakfu, do u?

Ti­tan has an­nounced a new on­go­ing comic based on Wakfu, the hugely pop­u­lar on­line role play­ing game and TV show. The se­ries, writ­ten by Ka­hel with art from Mig, de­buts on 11 Novem­ber. We’ve got no idea what the ti­tle means.
