His major creator-owned work is Strange Embrace from Active Images and Image Comics. He’s currently working on Spider-Man Noir for Marvel, Detective Comics for DC, FVZA and Ryder on the Storm for Radical, Poison Candy for Tokyopop and Elephantmen for Richard Starkings. Hine also writes The Bulletproof Coffin, co-created by artist Shaky Kane, which will be published later this year by Image Comics. 6. Antony Johnston Antony Johnston is the writer of Dead Space, Wolverine: Prodigal Son and the Alex Rider graphic novels, and creator of Wasteland. Antony is currently writing Daredevil and Cold City. 7. Kieron Gillen Kieron Gillen came to wider attention with his pop music urban-fantasy comic Phonogram for Image Comics. His work for Marvel includes Thor, Dark Avengers: Ares and SWORD. He's currently working on the forthcoming The Heat, a Mercury-based science-fiction police action comic. 8. Jeff Mariotte Jeff Mariotte is an award-winning novelist and comic book writer whose comic titles include Desperadoes, Garrison, Fade to Black, Zombie Cop, Barack Obama: The Comic Book Biography and many more. 9. Joseph Rybandt Joseph Rybandt works for publisher Dynamite Entertainment. 10. Matt Smith Matt Smith is the editor of the multiaward-winning 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine, and has been The Mighty Tharg's representative on Earth for over a decade. 11. Chris Ryall Chris Ryall is the publisher and editor-in-chief of IDW Publishing. 12. Dan Abnett Dan Abnett has written extensively for 2000 AD. He's currently writing cosmic superhero books for Marvel, including Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy, and has just finished a 16-month run on The Authority for Wildstorm.
