Killing Moon #2
Pigdog Press’ inimitable brand of fun sauce gets poured over all this, their follow up to the inaugural issue released in 2015. Continuing the adventures of the eponymous assassin gang, this time the focus is on Ingrid, who’s handy in a fight and taking on wolfmen and an undead neck-muncher.
It’s a frantic, medieval knockabout romp that pelts along with ferocious bite. Dynamic, sinewy fun that eschews ye olde dialogue in favour of snappy wit, there’s lots to like about Killing Moon and even more to love. The winning combination of bloodshed and broadswords is bettered only by its jaunty tone, providing the cinematic escapism of a Saturday matinee. If you’re after a simple blast of irreverent action, reach for the Moon.
