Overnight crime spree

PO­LICE are seek­ing in­for­ma­tion af­ter a crime spree across Perth’s east and south­east sub­urbs on Sun­day, Septem­ber 3.

It is be­lieved up to four men were in­volved in what po­lice be­lieve were four con­nected crimes in Bayswa­ter, Lang­ford, Martin and South­ern River.

Po­lice were called to a house on Gar­ratt Road in Bayswa­ter about 9.15pm that night af­ter two men forced their way into the house and knocked the oc­cu­pant un­con­scious. They then stole a sil­ver Mazda 3 and a replica mem­o­ra­bilia-style firearm and other prop­erty.

At 11.25pm, a num­ber of men forced their way into a home on Mar­lee Court in Lang­ford, armed with a firearm.

They searched the house and stole money be­fore they left in the stolen Mazda 3.

About 11.45pm, the men broke into a house in Lewis Road armed with the firearm.

An oc­cu­pant of the house ar­rived home while the of­fend­ers were at the prop­erty.

They chased him and hit his car with a base­ball bat, but he man­aged to es­cape.

Just af­ter mid­night, the group forced en­try to a house on Pen­te­cost Loop in South­ern River and tried to steal a Holden Com­modore parked in the drive­way, but were un­suc­cess­ful .
